About MeHi. I'm Lyn Thiele. If you hear someone talking about a person who loves the Bible, who often talks about Jesus and enjoys playing the piano, reading biographies and making quilts, has a beloved husband, five children, and another one in heaven, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one cat, they’re probably talking about me.
What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven – and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all – life healed and whole. Peter the Apostle (The Message Bible)

Years ago we were walking through an old orchard. The trees were almost bare, their branches gaunt. The apples had been picked for juice and taken to the factory, but I happened to see a lone green one hanging on. Maurie … Continue reading →
For a long time I’ve been thinking about the meaning of identity. This began when I heard about identity theft where many people are afraid that an unscrupulous person will try to steal their money by pretending to be them. … Continue reading →
Have you ever wondered what God does for recreation? Does he have days off? These questions came to me when I thought about how Jesus prayed every night. How wonderful it must have been for him to get away from … Continue reading →
Tradition has it that James, a servant of Jesus, prayed with great dedication. They say he spent so much time at it, that his knees became calloused from all the kneeling! He wrote a short letter in the Bible and … Continue reading →
